In fact, and in its essence, it is a self-propelled trolley. Its purpose is to carry everything that the military decides to hang on its body. It can be almost anything: an evacuation platform for personnel, a cargo net, communications equipment, or some kind of weapon. In other words, it is a universal transport that easily transforms from a cargo taxi into a scout or support vehicle. However, it is not entirely clear why the developers used a tracked chassis instead of a wheeled one. The speed on it is much lower, and as combat practice has shown, slow vehicles are destroyed faster.
The Caracal is unmanned, it is controlled by an operator from a distance of no more than two kilometers using a remote control. So that the operator could "see" the surroundings, the cart was equipped with cameras, sensors and a thermal imager. If any weapons or additional equipment are installed, it is also controlled remotely. It is also known that a car can travel up to 150 km at one gas station (charging), and its load capacity is 500 kilograms. Nothing is known about the combat use of the Caracal, as well as about the prospects for mass production.
